Warning about increasing use of skin 'care' products by children and teenagers

The Hellenic Dermatology and Venereology Society issued a statement on the increasing use of skin "care" products by children and adolescents.
The announcement in detail:
The Hellenic Dermatology and Venereology Society is sounding the alarm about the increasing trend recorded worldwide in the use of skin "care" products by children and young teenagers.
The British Academy of Dermatology also issued a similar announcement, wanting to increase the level of vigilance of parents and direct consumers, for the possible harmful consequences that can be caused by the use of products that are not designed for children's and young skin.
It has been observed that many children, replicating the trends they see on social media (Tik Tok etc.), start using skin "care routines" from the age of 10! Among other proposed preparations, there are also various anti-aging products, such as retinol, vitamin C, etc., which are completely unsuitable for use in specific age groups and may trigger the appearance of serious dermatological problems.
Open communication between children and parents is needed in order to channel the excessive enthusiasm for skin "care" in a direction that preserves their health and is compatible with their age, as these products are mostly unnecessary, while some they can also be harmful.
