The device uses UVC light 253.7nm technology for sterilization, which is an efficient, economical and environmental friendly method and destroys any microorganism by directly infecting its DNA. 

Utilizing ultraviolet technology, the device can neutralize up to 99.9% of airborne bacteria and viruses, the growth of fungi, odors, allergens and volatile organic compounds but also reduce the transmission of viral and bacterial infections.
